In His Steps Performing Arts was founded in 2018 in a living room in Youngsville, North Carolina. It began with a few families with girls who wanted to learn to dance in an environment that would be God honoring. Very quickly, interest spread and in 2020, In His Steps blossomed into a studio on a mission: To Reclaim Dance for the Glory of God.

Psalm 149:3 says: “Let them praise His name with dancing…” At In His Steps, our desire first and foremost is to cultivate an environment that uses the art of dance for its intended purpose: to glorify the Lord. God, the Creator of all, created dance. It is a worthy form of worship. Although dance is not immune to the way our culture seeks to hijack and pervert, here in this dance community, we are reclaiming it.

At In His Steps, we are striving to cultivate a wholesome and welcoming atmosphere for our students and their families. That includes clean music, modest attire, as well as appropriate themed dances and performances. We hope and pray that In His Steps will be a place where our students feel loved and encouraged, can be surrounded by a supportive community of families, that they may grow in their skill of dance, and most importantly be encouraged in their walk with the Lord.
